Enon Plantation Quail Hunting

Bobwhite QUAIL Hunting

November 1 - February 28

Enon plantation offers true plantation style bobwhite quail hunting to discerning wing shooters.  Intense game management of over 10,000 acres produces the type of hunt our guests both enjoy and expect.  During the summer months, the terrain is managed for maximum quail production.  Open stands of pines with thick brush, feed lines, sagebrush, ragweed fields and partridge peas provide the perfect habitat for quail to flourish.  We make every effort to increase your odds for a successful day's hunt.

Choose from early release quail hunting by horseback and mule drawn wagon or liberated quail hunting by jeep.  This choice affords each group the options of their preferred style of hunting.  Some hunters enjoy combining the two types by hunting early release birds in the morning and liberated birds in the afternoon.

Our guests are welcomed on arrival with appetizers and cocktails by the fire.  Dinner and orientation from your host soon follows before you retire for a restful night's sleep.

The following morning, enjoy breakfast and warm up at the trap range before departing for your day's hunt.  Our guides will begin the day by giving brief instruction in gun safety, handling and marksmanship.  Your safety is our top priority.
Quail Hunting on Horseback

Six champion pointers and setters will be eagerly awaiting your day in the field.  Knowledgeable guides handle these quality, well-trained pointing dogs year-round to ensure that your quail hunt is one that will not soon be forgotten,  Our hunting dogs are second to none.
At noon, break for a short rest and have lunch at the lodge or our historic "Artesian Cabin", whichever you prefer,  Afternoon quail hunts begin at your leisure and traditionally end around 4:00 pm CST.  Birds are packed frozen in coolers when you are ready to depart.

The excitement of a covey rise and hunting with good friends with a great brace of dogs creates a feeling to be savored for a lifetime.  Join us for your next bobwhite quail hunt for an exciting day in the field.
